The kids had a little too much fun with the pumpkins this year. Logan loved every minute of it. We had 4 and each of us got to gut and make a face on it. Logan's didn't turn out that great as he just scribbled on his, but all in all, it was so much fun!

Bumblebee!!!!

Tigger!!!

Jason and Logan had a great Halloween! Jason was so excited to be Bumblebee, and Logan actually wanted to be Spiderman, but I could not find a costume small enough for him, so he ended up being Tigger (Jason was Tigger what seems like ages ago)!!

Logan ran from house to house enjoying his trick or treating. He did surprisingly well considering he didn`t have a nap that day!

I don't have any witty or funny stories to share like some of my fellow bloggers, but here is my story about my boy. He is 6 going on 7 and has been through so much in his life. With 3 surgeries and constant ear infections he still has such a zest for life and love. He tries to find the best in someone, even if they don't deserve it. Jason is growing up too fast for me!!

Jason started grade 2 on Wednesday! He was so excited he could not sleep the night before. It was everything that he had hoped for. He is in the same class as some of his friends from last year which made him even more excited!!

Logan had a great time, he really didn't know what to do with himself at first!! It was like a kid in a candy shop!!

Even though he complained about chasing Logan around, Jason loved every minute of bringing his brother here!!

The kids and I had a great time yesterday at West Edmonton Mall, they even enjoyed the shopping part, but I think it is only because I bought them some stuff!! haha!! This was Logan`s first time here and Jason`s first time in a long time! We will be going again very soon as Steve wants to come with us (maybe I will get some more pics when he is there!)!

This was taken with Jason's little Canon that he got for Christmas last year, it takes pretty good pictures!!

The kids love riding on the LRT (or train as Logan calls it). Last Sunday was really hot, and I wasn't sure what to do with these kids. Steve had taken the car to work so our options were limited. So I swipped his bus pass and put a bag together and we hopped on the bus and headed to the ledge grounds, where Steve met us after work.

After lathering them with sunscreen, they were off!! With the help of Tasha (thank you!!) I figured out my camera settings (not that Hope didn't help me during the workshops) and how to make the colors POP!! These pictures turned out pretty awesome!

This was the first of many trips to the ledge grounds, the kids (and I) can't wait to go again!!

Last Friday, I got a letter in Jason's back pack and it read:

"On Friday, June 25, 2010, Homesteader school will be having its annual awards celebration. The assembly will occur at 9:00 am in the gym."

"As your child will be receiving an award, we extend a hearty invitation so that, if feasible, you may join us in celebrating your child's special day."

Let me tell you something, I don't think I've ever been this proud (other than at the birth of my kids and my wedding day!) of something in my entire life! He recieved the "Outstanding Achievement Award for 85% or higher in all core subjects!!! I burst out when they called his name and then I bawled. I am one proud mama!!

Congrats again, Jason!! You are a smart handsome little man, who isn't so little anymore!! Keep up the good work!!!!

Sage got a hair cut last week. She was really matty it was so bad that you could not pet her without getting your fingers stuck. She looks so much better (even though Steve likes to laugh at her all the time, he seems to think she is going to fall on her head) and I can tell she likes it too. It will be really nice for the summer.

This is Shelby. She belonged to my brother and sister-in-law, but since she liked to wander outside and they have really crappy rude neighbours, we decided that we would take her. It took her some time to get used to Sage, but she fit in well. She slept with Jason every night and was just plain friendly..... too friendly.

We have not seen her in a week. We think someone has taken her. She would walk right into someone's house if they let her. I can't believe that there are people out there that would take someone's pet. We miss her lots, especially the kids. We hope she can find her way back home to us.

I don't have much to say about this post. Our poor boy, in the hospital again and each time he goes in, it seems to be worse then the last. He is fully recovered now and is back to his normal self. I never want to see him like that again. He was so sad each day and it broke my heart.

Thanks to all my family and friends that came to see him (and me) during our stay at the Stollery. Jason's face lit up with each visitor. I will never forget the kindness of each one of you. <3

Logan turns two!

Logan turned two on March 10. He had a pretty good day consirdering he had to go to the doctor and have a check up. Since his birthday was on a Wednesday, we decided to have just a cupcake with a candle on it. He though it was the coolest thing, and the reason I know that is he wanted us to re-light the candle after he blew it out!!

On March 14, we had his birthday party. It wasn't very big, but it was still a lot of fun for him. We had hotdogs and munchies and cake!

We had his gifts up on the coffee table and he took upon himself to climb ontop of it to open his gifts, he really liked being the center of attention!!

This is my favorite picture I took of him that day. Since he did not want me to take any pictures of him at all, I have to say this one is pretty good!!

Ok, so I can't upload any pictures right now, and I'm not too sure why. I have some that I want to add, but I guess it will have to wait.

I started my new job 2 weeks ago, and I have to say it is going pretty good!! The kids are a pain sometimes, but hey!! Thats a toddler for you! Starting tomorrow, I am taking Logan with me, it should be an experience! I am really looking forward to it though. Seeing all these kids all day makes me miss mine alot!

This is Stephen last day of school for this year. He has alot of studying to do today. Then he is off to Grand Forks for a week to visit with friends. He is happy to be done with school for another year and will only have one year left!! WOO!!

Kids are good, Jason is doing really well in school. Logan... well he is Logan!!

Its Chantal's 2nd birthday. She is one of the cutest little girls I've ever seen!! She has so much energy and is so fun to just watch play with her toys!

We bought her the Little People's campsit, and she was so excited when she opened it!! Her eyes lit up like it was Christmas all over again!! I'm glad we chose what we did instead of the other things we had an eye on!

Jason thought Santa was going to bring this for him, but it was Grandma and Grandpa in Oliver. He was almost disappointed until he opened his last gift, I know... it was a little mean, but still an awesome surprise for him!

This Bounce Back Racer is so cool, Logan LOVES driving this thing around; All it has is two buttons on it which makes it so much easier for him to drive it around. I admit that I even like playing it!!

Logan and his Sit n Play keyboard from "Santa" He hasn't played it yet as we are trying to declutter all the old toys before we open all the new ones.

Jason loved the camera that "Santa" brough him. He was so happy, as he has been asking for one for a long time!!

I know, its a bit late, but oh well. Here are some of the Christmas pictures we took over the Holiday's. We had a good one I tell ya!! The kids were great and they had a great time. We spent the day at my parents housing playing Mario Kart on the Wii and just sitting around eating junk and talking. These are the Christmases I love.

Tonight was Jason's Christmas concert. It was a good little show!! It was SO much better than the show they did last year. I think the best part (other than Jason's class of course) was watching and listening to the Early Ed class sing, they were soo cute to watch and listen to!! I don't even know where to begin. Last Sunday, Logan decided it would be fun (and funny) to pick up my camera and throw it. Yes, you read right... he threw it. Now I have to live with the fact that my 50mm 1.8 lens is broken. It still works in a sence, but it is taking fuzzy pictures. I would go and get it fixed but it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one. So I might as well save up and get the one better.... thing is, I want to get it before the DLS starts. There goes my savings for a Flash. ~sigh~

Jason turned 6 on Thanksgiving Monday this year, so we had a family get together for turkey and cake (and pumpkin AND apply pie). There were gifts and lots more. Jason even lost his second tooth (more like Steve knocked it out, didn't hurt though). All in all it was a good day. It was great to share it with family.

Jason got a new Woody doll from his Grandma and Grandpa in Oliver. He LOVED it. It has the pull string and the hat comes off!

Steve made the cake, but he was off his game, as he had gotten the flu really bad and didn't feel good the whole day. He made the cake in between naps. It was still really good!!

For Jason's birthday, Steve and I got him tickets to see The Wiggles in concert. It was a GREAT show and Jason just loved it.

I have spent the last few day cleaning and purging my house, I can't believe how much stuff we have accumulated in just the last 11 months. I did this while Logan was small, not even crawling yet and now I am doing it again. We need to stop buying stuff hahaha!!! There is alot of clothes, mostly Jason and Logan's to go through and get rid of. Boxes for Derek and Jenny (baby stuff) and stuff to go to the Bissel center.

Jason's birthday is coming up fast, hard to believe he will be 6 in just over a month! We are having a Ninja Turtle's themed birthday party for him, he is going to have so much fun, I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff!!

The Calgary Zoo!!

There are so many animals at this zoo, its hard for me to choose which ones to post. I know everyone has been to this zoo, well, most anyways, so I won't post too many. This day was filled with Elephants, Lions, Tigers and bears (oh my!).... oh yeah, and Kangaroo Balls.... (don't ask.... really, don't!!).

The Calgary Zoo!! Part 2

We went to Calgary a few weeks ago and took the kids to the zoo. Now, it wasn't the nicest day for the zoo, but we still went. The kids loved it. It was Kaela's and Logan's first time at the zoo and they were in awe of the animals. They had a good time!!

Lunch time, everyone wanted to stop to eat. We had hot dogs. In my opinion, they were not very good, but the kids seemed to enjoy them. I guess its as good as it gets at the zoo!!

This trip with Logan was alot of fun for us. Last year when we were in BC, he was small, not even sitting up yet, so watching him run around and play was awesome!

Logan loved these chairs, he always wanted to sit in one to eat his banana's!! He did pretty well, there were no near accidents!!

We spent a good few hours at the beach in Osoyoos. We all went, even Grandpa was there sitting under a tree in the shade. I don't remember ever going to this beach, so we decided to go here instead of the beach in Penticton.

Ok, so when I walked off the plane I felt a ***whoosh*** of heat!! Going from 13 degrees to 38 degrees was a alot to take in!! I couldn't believe how hot it was. So when I arrived in Kelowna we decided to go to the beach in Peachland. The water was great, nice and cool..... I seriously love it there. I evny Jeff and Megs, they live right on the lake, its right outside their door.

Flight to Kelowna

My flight from Thunder Bay to Kelowna was really long, and I didn't really enjoy it that much. I have decided that I don't like long flights, at least if I have no one to talk to. I get too restless sitting there and there are so many times that I can get up and going to the bathroom!!! hahaha!

The Kakabeka Falls would have looked tons better in the sun light, but it was still beautiful. We didn't stay long as it was raining.... lots. It was about a 30 minute drive out there, and we brought Patricia's nephew, Liam with us. It was a nice getaway from the city and the doing nothing part of my trip.

This is one of the oldest bridges in Thunder Bay!! I have to say, it was really strange driving across it.... if we went over 30km's we probably would have shook the bridge!!

And so little time to do it in. I leave in 4 and a half days for my first ever vacation alone, to Thunder Bay to visit my best friend, Patricia!! I am so looking forward to it, but not looking forward to the days leading up to it. I have so much to do. I want to try and clean some of the house before I leave.... haha, yeah right, eh? I have to pack, tomorrow we are going to Capital Ex, I have to clean some more, pack for the kids trip with their daddy into BC and so much more!! I feel like I'm swamped and its not fun!!

I thought it was apporpriate because since he has been in school he has started developing an attitude that I noticed a few of his friends have. He is growing so fast!! My baby isn't a baby anymore!! Yep, that's right!! ONE FOR LOGAN!!! Now, I really think this shirt was made for him. My dad (and mom) have started calling him the Bulldozer!! Nothing fazes this kid. He falls on his head and cries for 2 seconds, and he is good and on the go again!! I (((heart))) him!!

Yes, I did it!! I got a picture of my boys together without a BLUR!! The blur being Logan! He is actually sitting nice and NOT crying!! I love my boys to death!!

What a crappy summer so far...

Logan has had it rough this summer. Nothing fails, we went camping and had to come home because he wasn't feeling well. Then he had a fever on and off all week AND now his eye teeth are coming in.... in which mean more fever and a mister cranky pants!! I hope those teeth pop out soon, he is in so much pain, and doesn't even want to take a bottle or sucky!! Oh my!!!

We did however go to the Ledge grounds yesterday and the kids had a blast!! Pics to follow soon!

Camping trip cut short....

Our camping trip was cut short this weekend due to a sick Logan. He was having a great time out there and he started having runny poops and it was really green (as if you needed to know that!) so we came home, but not before the kids run and jumped in the puddles!! They had a blast and Logan LOVED it!!

The kids were pretty sad that we had to go, but they all still had a lot of fun in the time we were there. Jason stayed with his grandma and grandpa so that he could go fishing and tubing. Sucks that we are missing out, but we need to make sure that Logan is all better (and we didn't have enough life jackets for all the kids anyways).

Camping trip!!

This weekend I am venturing out of the city to take the kids (as well as H & Q) camping. I am so looking forward to getting out of the city to sit and relax and enjoy the quiet. My uncle, aunt and cousin's are already there, holding a spot for our tent. Mom and dad are also coming with us. I'm sad and bummed out that Steve has to work this weekend. We are already in the process of planning one of our own.

Soccer season is over!!

Jason had a good time during this year's soccer season. I don't know if we will put him in next year because he seems to lose his frame of mind and he just starts doing whatever he wants. We will see how things go in the next year that will determine whether or not he will be in U8!! (He was number 8 again this year!!)

So this is what Logan looks like when we take him out. He looks so handsome and I wish he would stay CLEAN like this. He is also doing what he loves best, filling his face with food!! Those were some good hot dogs!!

This is what Logan looks like after a day outside! This picture is pretty mild compaired to what he normally looks like. He likes to make sure that his hands and feet are black with dirt and his clothes has grass stains on them!! Who knew a 16 month old could get grass stains!!?!

So, summer if finally here!! Yay!! Jason has passed kindergarten and is heading into grade 1 on September 2!! He did so well on his report card and... I can't believe it... a school supply list... and so it begins!!! He is so excited to be heading into his first "grade"!!

So as most of you know, when Steve and I got married we didn't have a photographer at our wedding. We had some done at Wal-Mart, but I don't consider them our wedding pictures. When I found out that Hope needed model's for her "Mock Wedding" and "Wedding Portraits" I jumped at the opportunity. These are just a few that we done that day. We had a good time with all of the photographer's.... even Steve had fun (even though he would never admit it to anyone!!) Thanks again Hope, for such a great day!!! We would gladly do this again for you next year (don't tell Steve thought!!)

This is my beautiful niece, Kaela. She finally started to walk not too long ago, and it makes me giggle to watch her *stumble* around. I don't really remember how Logan was when he first started walking. One minute his was crawling and BOOM, he was walking, so the memory of his first few weeks of walking is a blur. Anyways, Kaela is soo adorable!! Her expressions are priceless!!!! (as shown in the picture above). Love you, baby girl!!

On Easter Sunday both kids were sick, they had an Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa G's house, but thats about all they did. Jason spent the day on the couch and Logan spent the day playing with the plastic eggs that the Easter Bunny left!!

Oh well!! There isn't really anything new to report... again. Jason starts his soccer season in the next week or so which is he pretty excited about! We went and met his new coach and picked up his uniform, he got the same number *8* as last year, he loved that!! There is only 2 months of school left, which is making him sad, he doesn't really want to have a summer vacation. He is still doing really well in kindergarten and his reading/writing improves everyday!

Logan.... is well, Logan!! He is still a little monster!! He likes to get into trouble.... we are going to have trouble with this one! hahaha!! its fun watching him play, learn and eat!! Man, that kid eat!! He can make a good run too, he doesn't walk where he wants to go now!! He is (slowly) starting to say more words, ma, da, kitty and hi. We are trying to get him to say "up"!

We got some good news yesterday, Steve passed his first year Apprenticeship!! Yeah!! We have been waiting and waiting to get his marks!! It was getting frustrating for him. The season is getting busier for him, and he will most likely not have much time off until July.

So, Steve and I are getting remarried.... kinda!! Hope is having a Mock Wedding for her students and since we never really had "real" Wedding photo's done, we are going... Steve is wearing his suit and I'm *hopefully* wearing a wedding dress that Hope thinks will fit me!! YEAH!!! I'm quite excited for this. If the dress does not fit, I have my summer dress I can wear!!

So, here I am at 4 in the morning, up..... SICK!!! I really wish that I didn't catch everything that was going around. Jason is coughing too, I just hope he gets over it before he goes back to school on Monday.

There isn't much to report from our family. My parents are planning at Birthday Party for my Grandma who will be turning 75 this year!! Not too sure what and where we are going to have it yet, but it should be great!!

Stephens' grandpa is turning 90 this year as well, but I don't think we will be making out there for that big bash, as I asked Stephen what/where we wanted to go for our summer vacation this year, and he told me to go visit my bestest friend, Patricia in Thunder Bay, Ont!!! OMG!!! I couldn't believe that he was telling me that. So guess what? Its all BOOKED!! I am going! NO KIDS!!! This will be MY very first vacation without my kids. I don't think I've been away from them for more than a night or 2 since Jason was born. Wow, that is 5 and a half years!! (dances around) THANKS HUNNY!!!

I think this summer we are going to take the kids camping and fishing. We are going to visit with friends and family. I'm kinda hoping that *Hope* will extend an invite to their secret camping spot to us this year *hint hint Hope* that is if we (as in Steve) can get the weekend off.

On March 10, we celebrated Logan's 1st birthday!! I can't believe how fast this past year has gone. I know I say that alot, but this past year DID go by super fast!!! He is growing into such a little (and daring) man. On March 7 we had a birthday party filled with cheezies and a cake smashing session, which was Hope's idea of course! It was so much fun to watch. He got alot of loot, which is nice for him, now I can get rid of some of his other toys!! The best part of the party for me was not having to have my camera in hand the whole time! Thanks Hope!!! I can't wait to get my pictures!!

I will also have some from my mom and my mother in law soon, I hope!!

I was cleaning upstairs last weekend and Jason came running to me "Mommy Mommy!!! Guess what Logan did!!? Uh oh!! I ran downstairs and this is what I found. He had taken everything out of the bottom of our kitchen cart and got in!!! I had to grab the camera!!!

Jason loves to play at the park. It was a pretty nice day a few weeks ago, so after school I took the kids to the park to play for a little bit. They had a good time, even Logan (sorry no pictures of that, he sat in the stroller pretty much the whole time, but the older kids kept him entertained!!).

My Jason. He is getting so big. He has grown so much this past year its crazy. He loves to play and if he could stay outside all the time, he would!!

Jason wanted to hold Logan because it was his first time in the snow!! Logan didn't like it all that much though!!

We had a great Christmas, aside from the fact that Steve had to work on the big day. We still had family time and watched the kids open all of their gifts. Logan LOVED the wrapping paper, and the gifts after the paper was gone! It was a good day all in all!!!

They are both getting so big. Jason can't wait for Christmas, he has asked Santa for a Robot and Wall-E on DVD, both which "Santa" is getting him. Lucky kid!! I'm not too sure what Santa is getting Logan yet, he has a tough baby to buy for, as he doesn't really care of his own toys. Clothes and sippy cups, I guess!!

Our new kitten has a thing for Logan's soft blankets, because every time he has been asleep the past few times, she has been sleeping right there with him. They are becoming great friends and Tessa isn't really minding that Logan pulls on her tail and ears. I LOVE it!! They are too cute. And now, when I'm typing she is following the letters being typed and even tries to bat the letters!! hahahaha

At the end of October we went and saw Wayne Brady. I wasn't really suppose to take my camera in there, but this is me we are taking about, come on!!! I didn't pull it out until near the end of the night and go one decent picture of him. Steve and I had a great time, it was our first "real" date since Logan was born. My mouth hurt so bad by the end of the night for laughing, it was a GREAT show!!! Thanks again to Lisa for watching the boys for us!!

Halloween 2008

Here is our little Yoda. I hadn't planned on dressing Logan up for Halloween until Maria and I were at Wal-Mart and we saw the little costume. I couldn't resist!! He looks SOO darn cute! I love the green cheeks and nose, too!!

Jason HAD to be Buzz Lightyear this year. He was almost out of luck. We were in WEM looking at the Disney Store and they only had size 10-11, which was WAY too big for him. They called Kingsway for us, and they had one left. Woohoo!

Logan didn't like the feel of it on his face so it ended up on his costume. Jason had a good old time shouting Trick or Treat and running house to house. I'm really glad there was no snow, it would have made it alot colder. We didn't go with anyone this year as they all had plans, but maybe next year. We still had a blast though!!!

Buzz Lightyear!! I went to Jason's kindergarten class to help get them ready for their afternoon activities. They went from class to class and did different things. All the kids had a lot of fun!!

Jason was so excited when Steve handed him a knife to cut his own cake!! Don't worry, he was standing right beside him. And no one cared that he cut it diagonally!!!!

Here are the pictures from Jason's 5th Birthday party!! He had alot of fun that day and he also got a boat load of gifts!! I think one of his favorite gifts was his fishing rod!! He also got lots of hot wheels, Lego and a Woody Doll (which he called his "soft woody" hehe) All in all it was a good day!!!

Seriously, I'm so bored. I have my Hailey and Quincey today and they are all playing really good, which is a change from the last time they were here, screaming out Jason's bedroom window and jumping on the bed!! He has NO toys in his room now so they have to play downstairs!! Best move I've ever made!! Thanks, Maria!! :D

Anyways, Steve is still at work, and since I have 4 kids I can't go anywhere or do much!! BLAH!!! Since Steve works early tomorrow, I can only go scrapbooking tonight after the kids go to bed. Sigh, I guess its that time of year where I should NOT plan anything on weekends.

Five years ago today, our not so baby boy came into this world!! I can't believe he is 5!! He has grown up to be quite the little man. He loves Kindergarten, has lots of new friends and love going every day. He is excited when he comes home and tells me what he has done for the day.

We are making cupcakes today for him to take for his class.

We had Jason's 5th birthday party on Sunday, and he had so much fun, even though only one kid showed up, Matthew! They played outside, had some treats while watching treehouse. There was also cake, icecrean and lots and lots of gifts for him to rip into. He got way too much, as usual, but thats ok, you only turn 5 once!!! His actual birthday is this Sunday. We will be making cupcakes for his class and going for Thanksgiving dinner!!
